1. What is the mission of the Network for Community Development?
Our mission is to promote peace and sustainable development by changing the perception of young people from being seen as victims or perpetrators of violence to active, responsible leaders. We achieve this through training, sports, research, advocacy, mental health support, and more.
2. How can I get involved with NECOD?
You can get involved with NECOD by becoming a volunteer, subscribing to our newsletter, or supporting our initiatives through donations and partnerships. Visit our “Get Involved” page for more details.
2. How does NECOD support internally displaced persons?
We support internally displaced persons by providing mental health and psychosocial support, training in income-generating activities, and re-enrolling children from displaced families in vocational and technical schools in host communities.
3. What are NECOD's key areas of intervention?
Our key areas of intervention include Democracy and Governance, Justice and Rule of Law, Psychosocial Recovery, and Economic Recovery. We focus on capacity building, prison rehabilitation and reintegration, mental health awareness, and supporting livelihoods for displaced persons.
5. Where is NECOD legally recognized and active?
NECOD is a youth-centered organization legally recognized in Cameroon since 2018. We are active in promoting peace and sustainable development, addressing youth radicalization, and supporting vulnerable populations within the region.
