ABOUT OUR WORK
We are a youth-centred organisation legally recognised in Cameroon since 2018 with objectives of contributing to addressing the drivers of youth radicalisation and violent extremism in Cameroon. We promote the rehabilitation and reintegration of young people in prison and in juvenile centres. We support internally displaced persons (IDPs) through, sports and recreational activities, mental health and psychosocial support, training in income generating activities, re-enrolment of children of displaced families in vocation schools, and WASH interventions.

Our Mission

We also use sports, evidenced-based research and advocacy and sensitisation to achieve our objectives of promoting peace and sustainable development.

1. What is the mission of the Network for Community Development?

2. How does NECOD support internally displaced persons?
We support internally displaced persons by providing mental health and psychosocial support, training in income-generating activities, and re-enrolling children from displaced families in vocational and technical schools in host communities.

Our key areas of intervention include Democracy and Governance, Justice and Rule of Law, Psychosocial Recovery, and Economic Recovery. We focus on capacity building, prison rehabilitation and reintegration, mental health awareness, and supporting livelihoods for displaced persons.
