About NECOD

We are a youth-centred organisation legally recognised in Cameroon since 2018 with objectives of contributing to addressing the drivers of youth radicalisation and violent extremism in Cameroon. We promote the rehabilitation and reintegration of young people in prison and in juvenile centres. We support internally displaced persons (IDPs) through, sports and recreational activities, mental health and psychosocial support, training in income generating activities, re-enrolment of children of displaced families in vocation schools, and WASH interventions.

We also promote responsible citizenship through preventing hate speech and mis/disinformation.

  • Empowerment: Building local leadership, ownership and peer‐trainer models for sustainability

  • Integrity: Be transparent, accountable, and ethical in all our interventions.

  • Collaboration: Working closely with stakeholders and communities through equitable partnerships.

  • Innovation: Applying evidence‐based and adaptive methodologies to address evolving challenges in communities we serve.
